Student: Middle Atlantic region, 1962-1969
Scope and Contents
Minutes and reports of the Middle Atlantic region National Student YWCA advisory committee and documents concerning two regional special projects. Advisory committee minutes and reports concern regional development, program and project updates and conference updates. The two student projects focus on a specific regional problem and offer students opportunities to work within those communities, develop community organizing skills and practice leadership. "Opportunity in Appalachia" is a "self help project" for an isolated community community in West Virginia that has a history of struggling with poverty, education and access. The New Jersey migrant worker project brings attention to the unique conditions and problems faced by migrant workers. The report include evaluations and summaries grouped by place of project.
