Scope and Contents

Papers and reports concerning the National Student YWCA as religious movement and religion on college campuses in addition to reports from the National Student YWCA and the College and University Division of the YWCA of the U.S.A. The role of the National Student YWCA and its local student associations as a lay Christian movement on college campuses is explored through a series of papers and reports. These documents include such topics as the organization's "openness" to members of other religions of Christian denominations, Christianity in the "space age," science and religion and the evolving religious needs of college students. Following these documents are annual reports from the National Student YWCA and its national staff. Staff reports include summaries of their job duties for the reporting period in addition to program or department updates. Additional reports follow the annual reports and these include program reports and additional departmental reports. National Student YWCA rosters are directories of all student associations their directors and advisors in addition to headquarters and regional staff.
