Teenage conferences, 1965

Scope and Contents

Documents concerning 1965 southern region Y-Teen summer conferences including a report to the Field Foundation on Y-Teen conference integration in 1965 followed by documents concerning the program, preparations and evaluations of the GAF (Georgia, Alabama and Florida), Mid-South, and Kentucky-Tennessee conferences. The report to the Field Foundation summarizes plans to integrate Southern Y-Teen conferences and combines statistical and narrative reporting to analyze attendance. The report is followed by the documents for the 1965 area summer conferences. Summer conferences are held in smaller state or regional sections within a region to unite Y-Teen members under common purpose, expose them to new members, provide opportunity to participate in discussion regarding issues of regional and national importance to teens and take part in the YWCA beyond their local association. Documents include participant and leader conference evaluations, conference reports, program and materials sent to participants ahead of the conference.
