Scope and Contents

Documents concerning 1964 and 1965 Y-Teen area summer conferences in the southern region of the YWCA of the U.S.A. grouped by year then area. Summer conferences are held in smaller state or regional sections within a region to unite Y-Teen members under common purpose, expose them to new members, provide opportunity to participate in discussion regarding issues of regional and national importance to teens and take part in the YWCA beyond their local association. Documents include participant and leader conference evaluations, conference reports, program and materials sent to participants ahead of the conference. Conference materials for 1965 are continued from the previous microdex and cover Oklahoma-Arkansas, Texas-Louisiana, and Virginia-Carolinas. 1964 conference materials cover all southern conference areas and are preceded by a report to the Field Foundation on conference integration in the South.
