Scope and Contents
Correspondence, reports and administrative records concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A. association in Long Beach, California. As a charter member of the YWCA of the U.S.A. the Long Beach association has a long history of serving its women and girls. Visitation reports, association histories and correspondence describe the area as a resort town bringing challenges of a changeable population. In addition Long Beach begins early work with women and girls in industry. Documents include visitation reports assessing the association, lists of staff and volunteers, budgets, constitutions and their application for affiliation with the YWCA of the U.S.A.
