Delaware, circa 1923-1953
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the administration, affiliation, leadership, disaffiliation and programs and services of the Delaware district YWCA. After suspending association activities during World War II, the efforts to reorganize never fully take hold and the district association is officially disaffiliated in 1953. Reorganization and recruiting efforts are documented in correspondence and reports. Other documents concern the association services and activities, leadership and personnel and the history of the association and work with rural communities.
