Hawaii, circa 1907-1949
Scope and Contents
Reports, correspondence, administrative records and documents concerning YWCA of the U.S.A. associations and activities in Hawaii. Documents concerning Hawaii as a whole include visitation reports assessing the conditions of the island, the needs of the women and girls and the programs and services available in addition to the report of a study of the foreign communities in Hawaii. The Hawaii Island YWCA, originally incorporated as the YWCA of Hilo, Hawaii, changes its name to better reflect its island wide program. Documents include association histories and fact sheets, governing documents including constitutions and bylaws, a completed residence survey, a program for the dedication of a new building, lists of leaders and volunteers and visitation reports.
