Michigan, circa 1906-1950
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A. associations in Pontiac, Saginaw and Owosso, Michigan and efforts to organize work in Port Huron and Saint Clair County. Prior to developing new associations, the YWCA of the U.S.A. studies the current services for women in an area, the community interest, community need and potential leadership. These factors are considered in visitation reports and correspondence with the community leaders and organizers. Documents for the affiliated associations in Owosso, Pontiac and Saginaw include visitation reports, community surveys, a completed residence survey, lists of professional and volunteer leadership and governing documents.
