Scope and Contents

Reports, correspondence and administrative records concerning Hastings and Jefferson, Nebraska district associations of the YWCA of the U.S.A. County or district associations represent rural or small town areas that may not have the support of participation to maintain a full association. Visitation reports describe and assess the association's program, leadership, activities, facilities and services. Other documents include constitutions and bylaws, lists of professional and volunteer leadership, association fact sheets, historical summaries and applications for affiliation. Hastings district experiences challenges with some of its programs and member communities. The Clay Center in particular writes requesting assistance from national leadership to sever their ties with the district and conduct their own Girl Reserve programs. Additional letters and reports indicate trouble financing a cafeteria and concern area relationships with the YMCA.
