Oklahoma, circa 1925-1940
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s work in the state of Oklahoma and letters inquiring into the organization of a new association in Ada, Oklahoma. State visitation reports are summaries of YWCA of the U.S.A. field secretaries' visits to the state to observe and advise local associations. Following the state visitation reports is Southwestern Bell Telephone's report, "Economic Survey of Oklahoma." The report evaluates the physical, economic and industrial outlook for the state in 1929 and was likely used by the YWCA of the U.S.A. to inform program decisions and to become familiar with the context in which they work.
