Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the Northern Oklahoma District YWCA. The district YWCA is a federation of associations that are unable to otherwise maintain a separately affiliated association. Notes on the microfilm and in administrative records indicate that the association becomes part of the Tri-State District YWCA in about 1930. Financing the district association is a challenge due to varied support from and sizes of local associations. Correspondence and finance report includes discussion of ways to raise funds, collect support from associations and fairly distribute finances. In 1926 a study of district finances attempts to answer these questions and make recommendations for a plan of financial support and distribution. Additional documents include visitation reports, correspondence concerning YMCA relations, reports from the district's general secretary and advisory correspondence with regional and national leaders.
