Documents concerning the administration, history and programs of the YWCA of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The administrative history of the association can be traced through constitutions and bylaws in addition to association fact sheets and historical notes. In the late twenties through the thirties, the association experiences financial challenges. Correspondence and reports concern the association's relationship to the community fund in Tulsa and later materials describe the increasing financial challenges of the association and seek guidance from regional and national leaders. Similar to other associations and the national organization, the YWCA of Tulsa utilizes studies to inform program decisions and to become familiar with the community they work in. Studies present in the microfilm were conducted by the association itself or other community organizations and include a study of the economic and social conditions of the African American in Tulsa, a program planning study, a study of girls released from institutions in Oklahoma, a report of the "leisure-time problem" and a report of a national-local project to align the YWCA of Tulsa with the YWCA of the U.S.A. Additional documents include lists of professional and volunteer leaders and industrial program reports.
