Scope and Contents
Letter concerning the work of the YWCA of the U.S.A. and its associations in Oklahoma followed by documents concerning associations or new work in Altus, Alva, Ardmore, Bartlesville, Blackwell, Clinton, Duncan, Enid, and Lawton. Documents are arranged alphabetically by area with further topical and form designations on the microfilm for Ardmore, Bartlesville, Enid, and Lawton. The administration and development of those four associations is documented in basic standards reports, national certification documents, constitutions, and bylaws. Visitation reports include program descriptions, reports of challenges and successes, and discussion of personnel and management need. Additional materials include correspondence and reports concerning association program and operations. For new and developing associations documents include visitation reports and correspondence.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
