Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the program, administration and development of the YWCA of Pueblo, Colorado, correspondence and reports concerning registered Y-Teen clubs in Las Animas, Rocky Ford, and Security, and inquiries into new organization in La Junta and Sterling. Documents are arranged alphabetically by city or town with further topical and form designations on the microfilm for Pueblo. The administration and development of the Pueblo association is documented in basic standards reports, constitutions, and bylaws. Visitation reports include program descriptions, reports of challenges and successes, and discussion of personnel and management need. Middle Park's documents include record of its development from a provisional YWCA to a registered Y-Teen club.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
