Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the program, administration, and development of YWCA of the U.S.A. associations in Kalamazoo and Lansing, Michigan in addition to visitation reports for the registered Y-Teen club in Mount Clemens and inquiry into new organization in Marquette. Documents are arranged alphabetically by city or town with further form and topical designations on the microfilm under Lansing and Kalamazoo. The administration and development of the affiliated associations is documented in basic standards reports, constitutions, and bylaws. Visitation reports include program descriptions, reports of challenges and successes, and discussion of personnel and management need. Additional materials include program materials, annual reports, general correspondence, and reports concerning association program and operations.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
