Biographical Note

Founded in 1995, TAWG (Training and Access Working Group) is a clearinghouse of more than two dozen local, state and national organizations working together to ensure the continued availability of well-trained abortion providers. These partner organizations include the Alan Guttmacher Institute, National Network of Abortion Funds, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, all of whose records are also held by the Sophia Smith Collection.
