Biographical Note

According to her Web site (http://www.patriciabernstein.com/), "Patricia Bernstein, who holds a degree in American studies from Smith College (Class of 1966), has managed her own public relations firm in Houston for over twenty years. Her articles have been published in Smithsonian Magazine, Texas Monthly, Cosmopolitan, and other magazines and newspapers." She is also the author of "The First Waco Horror: The Lynching of Jesse Washington and the Rise of the NAACP" (2004).
