Antonio Frasconi collection
Scope and Contents
The collection contains correspondence, 1960s-1990s, largely from Antonio Frasconi to Charles Parkhurst (at one time, director of the Smith College Museum of Art) and includes letters, cards, notes and telegrams. Also included are decorated mailing envelopes from 1960-1980s. There are two original prints, exhibition announcements, posters, catalogs and notes, as well as some printed articles about Frasconi and biographical notes about him, probably by Parkhurst.

Antonio Frasconi was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1919), grew up in Montevideo, Uruguay, and lived in the United States from 1945 until his death in 2013. He was recognized largely for his woodcuts.
