Scope and Contents
The papers contain the notes assembled by Morgan on Digby; they include her transcriptions of Digby manuscripts (including some from his Letter book, MRBR MS 134), correspondence related to her purchases of Digby manuscripts and books, and other related research materials. Includes a photostat of a Digby holograph, Scrittura data a ... Papa Innocentio Xmo, 1648? ([47] leaves), Vatican document: Chigi N. 111.69. Also includes Constance Morrow's senior thesis from Smith College: The Wandering Fantasies of Sir Kenelm Digby. Also includes materials related to the exhibition held in Neilson Library, Smith College (1996-1997) in honor of the gift of Digby manuscripts and books (last item in Box 2).

Biographical / Historical
Constance Morrow (Smith College Class of 1935), wrote her senior thesis on Sir Kenelm Digby. After graduation she continued her interest in Digby and assembled a collection of books and manuscripts by him, as well as volumes from his own library. Mrs. Morgan was a trustee of the college from 1956 to 1971 and served as chairman from 1967 to 1971. She died in 1995.
