Scope and Contents
In this interview, Barbara Blumenthal talks about her relationship with the Rare Book Room at Smith as both a student and then later staff. Blumenthal reminisces about her beginnings in the book arts at Smith and how the staff in the Rare Book Room changed the course of her career. She recollects her time as a student in the 1970s and what it was like to be a married student on campus. At the end of the interview, Blumenthal talks about the changes to the library happening in 2017 and what it means to be connected to physical books in a digital age.
