Letter from Alison Loomis Cook to Mrs. Samuel F. Clarke, 1949-10-05
Scope and Contents
Cook informs Clarke (Elizabeth Crocker Lawrence) that they were able to comply with her original request that her portrait be reframed and placed in the Lawrence House living room. A note at the top of the letter by Clarke says that she replied to the letter with thanks, and reference to rescuing Mr. Hitchcock (the Acting Director of the Smith College Museum of Art) from biting into a cream puff at a buffet luncheon.
