Justina H. Hill (Smith College Class of 1916) papers
Dr. Justina H. Hill was a bacteriology researcher who served during World War I with the American Red Cross and World War II as a Public Health Services Officer. This collection primarily includes photograph albums from Hill’s war relief work, Smith College alumnae memorabilia, and medical and science reference materials.
Smith College Relief Unit records
The Smith College Relief Unit was founded in 1917 to bring relief to those areas of France that were most devastated during the first World War. The records include letters, journals, photographs and albums, correspondence with the War Service Board and information about the reconstruction.
