The papers consist of a small amount of correspondence and addresses relating to her work at the Perkins School for the Blind; course outlines, examples of braille music, concert programs, and workshop material document her role in developing music curriculum at Perkins. Also included are publications of the International Conference of Educators of Blind Youth and the American Association of Instructors of the Blind.
Papers include a small amount of biographical material on Perera, such as his career summary and resume, reviews, flyers and programs, photographs and newspaper articles. The majority of the materials are musical manuscripts of works by Perera.
