Abstract

DES Action USA is a national consumer advocacy group, whose mission is to educate and raise awareness about diethylstilbestrol (DES), an oral synthetic estrogen drug; and support and advocate for the DES-exposed population. The DES Action USA records are primarily comprised of materials documenting the activities, programs, and projects of the organization.

Judith (Judy) Gail Waxman (b. 1947) was a lawyer whose career focused on advocating for women’s health. The collection was organized by Waxman in the format of a memoir, with written narration by Waxman interspersed amongst the material. Material primarily centers around Waxman’s professional activities and most prominently features photographs, pamphlets, correspondence, and images of professional ephemera.

Abstract Loretta J. Ross is a Reproductive Rights advocate, Civil Rights activist, feminist, women's health activist. Her papers contain speeches, writings, correspondence, organization and conference files, and audiovisual materials.
