Abstract
Sally Stewart Ronk, a nationally recognized economist, was born in Newtonville, MA, in 1912 and received an A.B. from Smith College in 1934 and an M.B.A.(1946) and Ph.D. (1965) from New York University. Ronk first worked in Washington, D.C. for the FDIC. In 1945 she joined the Banker's Trust Co. and became vice-president in 1967, one of the few women to hold a top post in a major bank.
