Jordan: Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, circa 1961-1998
The World YWCA center in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp provides the women and girls living in the refugee camp with vocational guidance, basic education, nourishment, recreation and a place to belong. Photographs include images of the Queen Mother of Jordan and the Archbishop of Canterbury visiting the center, special mother's day pageants, women and girls participating in classes and recreation activities.
