Conferences, 1929-1949
Documents concerning the White House conferences on children and youth. The conferences convene to discuss matters of children's health, safety, development, protection and employment practices, and the role of the government and other organizations to protect children from harm. Also included are reports from the YWCA committee on Girls Work responding to the conferences and discussing the role of YWCA of the U.S.A. in advocating for children and youth.
Korea: Rural work, circa 1960-1968
Photographs of the rural programs of young women's Christian associations in Korea. Many photographs are of students engaged in programs at the Rural Training Center in Tongnae, Korea (likely referring to Dongnae District). The school trains women and girls in agriculture methods and domestic skills. Additional photographs include images of an urban-rural partnership program among associations and general rural life.
